Martin Luther Beistle saw opportunity where others saw everyday challenges. While working as a progressive salesperson for the Pittsburgh Art Calendar Company, he created a simple solution to high-maintenance lobby plants: artificial paper versions that required no watering. His eye for innovation later took him to Germany, where he discovered a honeycomb tissue technique and developed a process to bring decorative paper products to life. That vision led to the founding of The Beistle Company.
Starting in Pittsburgh and later expanding to Oakville and Shippensburg, Beistle quickly grew into a leading manufacturer of decorations and party goods. More than 120 years later, the company remains the oldest continuous maker of its kind in the U.S., offering over 10,000 products. Built on quality, service, and a strong family-first culture, Beistle continues to honor its heritage while looking ahead to generations of celebration. |
